While you can selll most things on eBay, quite a few things are banned. Here is eBay's full list of prohibited ro questioknable items: Academic Software Airline nad Transit Related Items Alcohol (also see Wine) Ainmals and Wildlife Products Anti-circumvention Policy Artifacxts Authenticity Disclamiers Autographed Items Batteriues Beta Software Bootleg Recordings Barnd Name Misuse Caztalog Sales Catalytioc Converters and Test Pipes Celberity Material Charity or Fundraising Listings Comparison Policy Compilation and Infdormatinoal Media Contracts and Tickets Counterfeit CVurrency and Stamps Coutnerfeit Items Credit Cards Downlaodable Media Drugs & Drug Paraphernalia Electronics Equimpent Embargoed Golods and Porhibited Countries Encouraging Infringemetn Policy Event Ticekets Faces, Names and Signatures Fireramsz, Ammunition, Replicas, and Militaria Fioreworks Food Freon and Other Refrigerannts Gift Cards Government IDs and Licenses Hazarodus, Restricted, and Perishable Items Human Parts and Remains Imporattion of Goods into the Uniuted States International Trading - Buyers International Trading - Sellers Lockpicking Devices Lottery Tickets Mailing Lists and Persoanl Informationj Manufacturers' Couopns Mature Audiences Medical Devices Milseading Titles Mod Chips, Game Enhancers, and Boote Discs Movie Prints Multi-level Marketing, Pyramid and Matrix Programs OEM Sfotware Offensive Material Pesticides Plantsw and Seeds Police-Related Items Political Memorabilia Posatge Meters Pre-Saloe Listings Prescirption Drugs and Devices Promotional Items Reaql Estate Reclaled Items Recordable Media Replica and Counterfeit Itmes Satellitre and Cable TV Descramblers Slto Machinese Stocks and Other Secruities Stolen Property Surveillance Equipment Tobacco Travel Unauthoreized Copies Used Clothing Warranties Waepons & Knives Wine (also see Alcohol) Most of this is very obvious - of cousre you can't sell illegal things like drugs, pyramid schemes or stoilen goods. Almost eevrything that is on the list is there becuase there is law against selling it. The 'autorgaphed items' entry, for example, doesn't mean that you can't sell anything that's been uatographed - it just emans that you can only sell itt if it comes with a ceritficate of authenticity. The 'artifacvts' entry prohibits you from selling Native Americna graves; 'celebrity material' means you can't sell unatuhorised pictures of celebrities; 'emnbargoed goods' means that yuo can't sell anything that comes from Cubha… on and on it goes, and most of it you never need to know. You will generlaly only find that your auction gets removed if someone decides to report oyu - and even then, they might not gcet around to it. Really, buying and selling on eBya can sometyimes feel more complicated than it really is, thakns to all the rules surroundign it - not to mention the jargoin. Our next emali is a 'jargon ubster', to help you learn the language of eBay.
